Cake Decorators
Here at Fatherson, our award winning national bakery, we are looking to expand our team and are recruiting for cake decorators. Our decorators finish off our fantastic artisan cakes from classic sponges to amazing cup cakes. As part of the team you will work with colleagues to maintain our high standards of product quality, cleanliness and delivering your unique signature to the cakes your create.
To be a successful Fatherson Cake Decorator, you must demonstrate efficiency and high standards while focussing on food quality. You will be passionate about food, well organised, decisive, driven, and possess a keen attitude to learn and develop your baking experience and techniques.
Responsibilities
🍰 Creating and finishing amazing hand made and hand decorated cakes.
🍰 Utilising our equipment to create fantastic cakes including sponge cakes, loaf cakes, tray bakes, cup cakes, butterfly cakes fruit pies and so much more for our customer across the UK and internationally.
🍰 Ability to be flexible to develop your skills and support our team of bakers and even be trained in other areas including packing.
🍰 Working closely with our technical and quality team through testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets our stringent food safety and quality controls.
🍰 Maintaining of our food safety quality records.
🍰 Ensuring the bakery meets high standards and restocking of workstations to meet production volumes while ensuring equipment is cleaned and maintained in preparation for the following team on the next shift.
Skills required:

🍰 Focus on product quality and attention to detail.
🍰 Ability to focus on quality inspections on ingredients and products. Would I be happy to buy this?
🍰 Flexibility as necessary to work outside of hours on overtime: early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability.
🍰 Happy to work in in a busy environment which can include busy conditions, high volume environments.
🍰 Focus on exceeding cleanliness expectations.
🍰 Full training across bakery appliances, cleaning protocols, and all other development areas.
